Welcome to Simple Informations – a website with simple tips to help everyday computer users get the most out of their PCs.

I am Ajith K Punnoose and I’m running Simple Informations. I’m an Electronic engineer, but found computers to be exciting and started to explore more into computers. Although I am not a professional programmer or am not a coder, I do now coding in C/C++, PHP, PERL, BASH and HTML. I have worked on Windows 95, 2000, ME, XP, Vista and 7 and on Linux. Of these my favorites are Debian and Windows XP. I’m still learning and improving my computer skills but like to share what I’ve learned so far.

I previously blogged on blogger – and over the two years I saw traffic increasing. But since Blogger gave you only a certain degree of control, I decided I need to move on. So on December 2007 I bought this domain from Godaddy. I had my first hosting at bluefur.com for as low as $10. Bluefur was pretty awesome. But after the deal was over I decided to get a better plan from godaddy. But they pretty much screwed it with so much downtime and a crappy Control Panel. After a year of godaddy I decided to move to hostgator for their unlimited plan. When I enbled WP-super-cache the CPU usage prevented my blog from even displaying its front page. (The unlimited plans everywhere have stricter CPU, memory and process limits than other plans. I was technically screwed.

Then after a month after knowing about the 6 month free offer going on at 1and1.com I decided to try them. I would say 1and1 is the best host I have ever been to. Most of their plans include free domains with hosting. I now have a Linux Home web hosting and have two blogs and two forums hosted here. Their control panel is a little intimidating at first, but once you get to know it its pretty easy.
