The newest version of WordPress 2.3.2 is out now. My Dashboard shows that it is only 4 hours old. There are some major fixes involved so download immediately.
WordPress 2.3.2 is an urgent security release that fixes a bug that can be used to expose your draft posts. 2.3.2 also suppresses some error messages that can give away information about your database table structure and limits and stops some information leaks in the XML-RPC and APP implementations. Get 2.3.2 now to protect your blog from these disclosures. As a little bonus, 2.3.2 allows you to define a custom DB error page. Place your custom template at wp-content/db-error.php. If WP has a problem connecting to your database, this page will displayed rather than the default error message. For more detail on what’s new in 2.3.2, view the list of fixed bugs and see the changes between 2.3.1 and 2.3.2.

The default Windows Wallpaper folder is %SystemRoot%\Web\Wallpaper where normally %SystemRoot% is C:\Windows . The location where the Desktop properties look for Wallpaper is saved in the Registry Key :
as a Multi String Value with a name WallpaperDir and having the the location of default wallpaper folder.
All you need to change it to the folder you need by double clicking it and saving the new Location. Check out the new location I gave and the corresponding list shown as wallpapers.
This is the value of my favorite folder. Now the change is immediate and you need not restart the Computer or Windows Explorer. Just Take Display Properties»Desktop
Cool(Hot) right? By the way its Kim Kardashian you can obtain the pictures from Kim Kardesian at Beach
The Windows default wallpaper list is shown when we select Desktop tab under Display Properties (Right click»Properties on Desktop). If you need to add some pictures to this list from your own collection here are the steps to follow.
The wallpapers shown in the list are located in the folder %SystemRoot%\Web\Wallpaper the %SystemRoot% represents your Windows Directory (normally C:\Windows).
Just add the pictures you need to appear to this folder and the next time you select Desktop properties the wallpaper will be there along with those come with Windows. Here the file named tan-y-groes1024x768 is the file added by me.
You can actually change the folder Windows looks for its wallpaper through registry. Ill cover it later this day.
Of late Google has been penalising blogs and sites that are using affiliate links in their page. This is because affiliate links are not actually pointers to valuable content and so the search engines could be misled. So what do you do if you want to show your affiliate links on your blog but still not lose your page rank.
There are actually three answers here :
1. Using rel=”nofollow” attribute :this attribute is used in the <a> tag. For a link not to be followed by a bot you may put
<a href=”http://example.com” rel=”nofollow” title=”TITLE”>TEXT</a>
2. Creating a file that redirects users but is not indexed :Look at the HTML code given in the screen shot. The line just above the highlighted one is the meta tag that tells the robots not to index or follow any links in the rest of the page :
<meta name=”Robots” content=”noindex, nofollow” />
The highlighted line is used to redirect the user to the specified URL after 2 seconds :
<meta http-equiv=”refresh” content=”2;URL=http://whatever.com” />
Ofcourse you can replace the 2 and the URL to change the time before redirection and the destination URL. You can add this meta tag in a different way to a page so as the page reloads automatically after x seconds :
<meta http-equiv=”refresh” content=”x” />
3. Creating a rule in the robots.txt file : robots.txt is the code of conduct for robots on a site and is located at the websites root folder. So create a directory named nofollow and put all your affiliate link redirection pages (created by above method) in this directory. Assuming this directory is at web root ie. www.example.com/nofollow
Create a new line in the robots.txt file as : Disallow : /nofollow
Now the file would look something like
You need not use meta tags in the redirection file and restrict the file via robots.txt together. Any one will do the trick.

I think a picture will speak more here. This is the Inbox of my GMail and YahooMail accounts. Just see for yourself :
Here showing the Inbox of my GMail account is simply a waste of space – no spam ever got there.
GMail was fooled only once when a spam mail came from another Gmail account. Well that was like once in a lifetime. And here comes the picture of Spam
Folders of both.
The screen shot was taken during the same session I took the screen shot of the Yahoo Inbox.Many people have said that Yahoo has got a tradition of blocking legit mails even if we find no traces in the mail that would normally raise the red flag. But I have never encountered this.

Every blog author would be delighted to see your new blog post indexed by Google as soon as you write them. This would be a great moment if you are like me. Last day when I searched this blog through Google and found out that the post I did 2 minutes ago was indexed I decided to know whether I had done anything for it. So the next time I posted I checked I found the same result.
What did I do?
What I did is, I pinged my blog from Google BlogSearch. This will make Google Blog search bot crawl your Blog instantly (in most of the cases). So this will cause the main search engine also to reflect the change. The page will not be cached immediately but you will, in almost all the cases, be indexed. The above screen shot was taken a day or two ago. And the results in Google will include your post too.
Serial Watcher is a small piece of program from PCRemote Control that can watch the data flow through any of your serial ports live and save the flowing data. It’s main use is during the testing of serial data receiver devices. I found this program while I was making a remote control for my PC.
Serial Watcher is an installation free, light at 150Kb zip package and can open/ monitor up-to 9 serial ports. The serial port watcher sadly cannot work as a sniffer which can show you all the data flowing through a serial port. It is not capable of opening ports that are already in use.
Parity bit, data width, no of stop bits, Hardware and Software handshakes all are changeable to all possible values, works with Windows 95/98/ME/NT4/2000/XP, saves data as text files, timestamp option available, data can be viewed in HexaDecial, Decimal or Binary
Easy to use, highly customisable and adaptive to incoming data protocol, istallation not required,light and free
only available for Windows, can’t act as a Sniffer
Memory usage : 3.1Mb
Virtual Memory : 28.3Mb
Port Open : 30.1Mb
Processor : Negligible
Price : Free
